Attribute reduction is a big deal in rough set theory. It's tough to figure out the best way to reduce a decision table. This paper talks about a basic attribute reduction algorithm and a better core algorithm. They also define two types of attribute significance in a decision table. Then, they come up with an algorithm that uses rough set theory with extra helpful info. The experiment showed that this algorithm can efficiently get the best attribute reduction for most decision tables.
