Jiangxi province's ecological footprint exceeds carrying capacity, with some cities in surplus and others in deficit.
The study looked at how much resources people in Jiangxi Province used compared to what the environment could provide in 2003. They found that the province used more resources than it could sustain, with some cities having more resources than they needed while others didn't have enough. The places with more resources tended to be more developed and have larger areas. The study suggested some ways to address this issue.
