Ammonia-based process boosts desulfurization efficiency, reducing harmful emissions significantly.
The study looked at how different factors affect the ammonia-based process that removes sulfur from flue gas. They found that the pH level of the solution used in the process is crucial, with higher pH leading to better sulfur removal. Increasing the time the gas stays in contact with the solution and using more liquid also improved efficiency. However, having more sulfur dioxide in the gas reduced the effectiveness of the process.
