The article analyzes different types of shield machines for the Wuhan Yangtze River Crossing Tunnel Project based on geological conditions, tunnel diameter, and length. It considers the properties of the soil, how easily water can pass through it, and the presence of underground water. The researchers suggest suitable shield machine types for the project, which can be helpful for similar projects in the future.
