New gas drainage plan eliminates coal and gas outburst danger.
To ensure safety in coal mining near other seams, a study analyzed gas emissions in Luozhou Mine. Results showed gas came mostly from the top neighboring seam, followed by the mining seam and the below neighboring seam. To address this, a gas drainage plan was optimized. In-seam boreholes and buried pipelines were used for gas drainage in the mining seam, boreholes in the top neighboring seam targeted high gas content areas, and floor boreholes in the below neighboring seam released pressure. This method reduced gas content in the protected seam and eliminated coal and gas outburst risks.
