Innovative Techniques Ensure Safe Construction of Deep Water Bridge Piles.
The construction of Pier Z4 of the Jiangshun Bridge involved building 28 bored piles, each 47.5 to 72 meters long, with the deepest reaching 81.5 meters. To overcome challenging conditions like deep water and hard rock, key techniques were used. These included advanced geology boring, fast construction of the boring platform, and using specific equipment for driving steel casings. Different boring methods were employed based on the ground conditions, and strict control of parameters ensured quality. All 28 piles were successfully completed before flooding, and ultrasonic testing confirmed they met design standards.
