The article reviews different methods for calculating how much agricultural science and technology contribute to progress in China. They looked at methods like C-D production function, Solow residual, and data envelopment analysis. The best method found was the Trans-log index, which can show how much both quantity and quality of factors contribute to output. It's important to consider agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fishery industries when choosing factors for input.
