Faster data processing to revolutionize internet services and applications.
The scientists introduced new ways to speed up how databases combine information. Normally, databases use equi join to match data, but when dealing with complex XML data on the web, a different approach, called structural join, is needed. Existing methods for equi join couldn't handle structural join efficiently. So, they developed two new strategies to tackle these challenges: the equal high histogram join and the equal breadth histogram join. Through experiments, it was proven that both methods made combining XML data faster and more effective.
