Optimal conditions for Nibea japonica hatching discovered: implications for aquaculture.
The study looked at how temperature and salt levels affect the hatching of Nibea japonica embryos. They found that these embryos hatch best at temperatures between 18-20°C and salinity levels of 26-32. The time it takes for the embryos to hatch decreases as the temperature rises. Additionally, the length of the newly hatched larvae is longer in lower salinity conditions compared to higher salinity conditions.
