Mechanical transplanting boosts rice yield and growth in East China.
Different planting methods have a big impact on how rice grows. In this study, researchers looked at how planting rice directly in the ground or using machines to transplant it affects the growth and development of the rice plants. They found that mechanical transplanting led to the highest rice yield, while direct seeding had the lowest. Manual transplanting resulted in a longer growth period for the rice plants. Overall, mechanical transplanting seemed to be the best method for promoting steady and high rice grain yield.
