Fuzzy set analysis was used to manage flood resources in Baiguishan Reservoir during flood seasons. By analyzing rainfall data, the reservoir's flood control water level was adjusted dynamically. This means that during main flood seasons, the water level is kept at a certain level, but it can be raised by 1.0 m from mid-August. As a result, the annual water supply for industry and households can be increased by 24% compared to the standard value.
