The study looked at water quality in the upper Yangtze river area and FengJie County to determine how much pollution the water can handle. They analyzed data on rivers, water quality, and pollution levels to set limits on how much pollution each area can handle. By 2015 and 2020, they set targets for reducing pollution in different water areas. The goal is to protect important rivers and lakes and provide a scientific basis for managing water resources sustainably.
