Hydropower Station Canal Safety Improved by Removing Overflow Weir.
The researchers used computer models to study how water flows in a long channel at a hydropower station. They looked at different scenarios, like when the turbines at the station change how much power they generate. By comparing results with and without a side weir, they found the highest and lowest water levels in risky situations. They suggest lowering the canal bottom and removing the side weir to improve safety.
