Illegal timber logging in Vietnam is still happening despite a logging ban. The study looks at how income from this illegal logging is distributed among different groups. Villagers and woodcutters benefit the least, while traders, officials, and lawmakers benefit more. This shows that even though villagers have legal rights to the forest, power and market control play a big role in who benefits from illegal logging.
