Top-dressing potassium boosts rice yield and quality in double season varieties.
Potassium application timing affects the yield and quality of double season rice. The study used two rice varieties and different potassium levels to see the impact. Results showed that applying potassium as panicle fertilizer increased grain yield, panicle forming rate, and dry matter translocation. However, it also led to increased head rice percentage and chalkiness in one variety but not the other.
