Fenton oxidation-coagulation process removes 81% COD from DSD acid production wastewater
The researchers used a Fenton oxidation-coagulation process to clean wastewater from DSD acid production. They found that the best conditions for this process were a pH of 3, adding 1 mL/L of H2O2 three times, 200 mg/L of FeSO4·7H2O, and a 45-minute reaction time. For coagulation, a pH of 10 and 3 mg/L of polyacrylamide worked best. When treating wastewater with a COD concentration of 516 mg/L and color intensity 500 times, the process removed 81.0% of COD and 98.0% of color.
