Straw mulching helps winter wheat grow better with salty water. The study looked at how straw mulching affects soil temperature, plant growth, and yield. Results showed that straw mulching lowered soil temperature, reduced soil salinity, and increased soil water content compared to no mulching. Plants with straw mulching had slower spike development but higher dry matter accumulation. Overall, using straw mulching can improve winter wheat growth in salty water conditions.
