The study looked at soil moisture and physical properties in different types of bamboo forests in Wuyi Mountain. They found that bamboo forests have lower soil density and higher water storage capacity compared to other forest types. Bamboo stands have loose soil, good water permeability, and are ideal for bamboo root growth. Proper management of bamboo forests can improve water conditions and increase bamboo yield.
