Slope erosion on roadbeds can impact stability. A study tested rainfall erosion on compacted loess roadbed slopes. Factors like slope gradient, compactness, and rainfall intensity were analyzed. The critical gradient for erosion is 25.9°. Slope compactness greatly affects stabilization. Longer slopes are less stable. Erosion is higher at the slope foot than the top. Sand content in water affects downstream sand more on longer slopes.
