The study analyzed stable isotopes in precipitation in Yunnan Province, China using simulations. They found that there is a significant amount effect on the isotopes in precipitation at different time scales. The simulated δ18O in precipitation showed a stronger correlation with precipitation compared to measured values. The local meteoric water line was well simulated at some stations, but not accurately at others, suggesting the model may overestimate the depletion of HDO in certain areas of Yunnan.
