New process boosts dyeing efficiency for polyester/cotton fabrics, enhancing color fastness.
The study looked at combining cleaning and coloring processes for polyester/cotton fabric in one step. They found that using two-step dyeing with disperse/reactive dyes was better than one-step dyeing for improving color uptake, brightness, color fastness, and evenness. Two-step dyeing had similar color intensity and resistance to washing/rubbing as traditional dyeing, but slightly less brightness. However, it didn't affect the color tone. Mistakes during the process didn't affect the dyeing results.
