Optimal nitrogen fertilizer distribution boosts winter wheat yield in sandy regions.
A study on winter wheat fertilizer efficiency found that using the right amount of nitrogen fertilizer is crucial for maximum yield. The research showed that applying 268 kgN/hm2 gave the highest yield of 4575 kg/hm2, while 213 kgN/hm2 gave the best commercial efficiency of 4556 kg/hm2. The study also revealed that nitrogen fertilizer works best in regions with low rainfall and poor soil quality. By combining nitrogen fertilizer with phosphate and organic fertilizers, farmers can improve crop yields. Additionally, distributing nitrogen fertilizer evenly between different growth stages of winter wheat can further boost yields to 4932-5530 kghm-2.
