New Study Reveals Best Plants for Maximum Oxygen Production
The study compared the photosynthetic characteristics of three types of Dioscorea plants. They found that D. zingiberensis had the highest chlorophyll content and photosynthetic rate. D. panthacica and D. parriflora had similar chlorophyll levels, with D. parriflora having the lowest photosynthetic rate. The plants showed a pattern of higher chlorophyll content in mid-position leaves and lower in top-position leaves. The photosynthetic rate peaked in the morning, decreased in the afternoon, and reached a low point at noon.
