The study analyzed the scale economies of 25 large contractors in China using two methods. One method showed that larger contractors tend to have diseconomies of scale, while the other method suggested economies of scale. This means that as Chinese contractors grow in size, they may not always benefit from cost savings typically associated with economies of scale.
