New Method Identifies Igneous Rock Types with 90% Accuracy in Junggar Basin.
The researchers developed a method to identify different types of igneous rocks in the 69th area of the Junggar Basin. They used data from common well logging measurements like gamma rays, acoustic waves, resistivity, density, and neutron to create a model that can accurately identify rock types. The method they developed has a high accuracy rate of 90% or more in identifying the lithology of igneous rocks in the area.
