Higher nitrogen levels boost rice yield and quality in no-tillage farming.
The study looked at how different levels of nitrogen and tillage methods affect the quality and yield of rice plants. Increasing nitrogen levels led to higher yields and plant growth, but lower seed set. The highest nitrogen level resulted in the best grain yield. No-tillage rice had better quality in terms of plant height and root activity compared to conventional tillage, but conventional tillage had more panicles. Overall, the quality of rice plants was slightly better under no-tillage, but there was no significant difference in yield between the two methods.
