Desertification in north China is a serious issue. By analyzing satellite images from 1991 to 2004, researchers found that desertification in the south of Mu Us Sand land is decreasing. This improvement is due to factors like better climate conditions and human efforts like planting more trees and stopping farming in certain areas. The study shows that severe desert areas are turning into healthier, non-desert areas over time.
