SHI Jie, a prominent figure in the Song Dynasty, studied the Yi jing, an ancient Chinese text. He analyzed the origins and development of Yi-ology, summarized its laws, and delved into its metaphysical aspects. SHI Jie interpreted the text through a Confucian lens, questioned some parts of it, but still respected its image-numerology. He explained the Yi using existing concepts, showing a deep understanding of the text.
