High Nitrogen Levels Decrease Rice Yield, Limit Fertilizer Application for Better Harvests.
The study looked at how different amounts of nitrogen fertilizer affect the growth of a type of rice called Longjing31. They found that too much nitrogen early on can lead to too much plant growth, which can then affect the final yield of the rice. The best amount of nitrogen to use is around 180 kg per hectare to get the highest yield.
