The study looked at how scholars in Hunan during the late Qing Dynasty focused on studying Confucian classics like Lixue, Jinwen, and Guwen. Different scholars had varying approaches to their research. This regional academic focus showed unique characteristics and is an important part of modern regional Confucianism. However, there is no clear agreement among scholars on the interpretation of the texts.
