China's Paper Industry Sees Major Productivity Boost Thanks to Technological Progress
The study looked at China's paper industry from 2000 to 2011 and found that overall productivity increased, mainly due to technical progress. However, technical efficiency didn't contribute much to the increase. Different provinces had varying levels of productivity growth, with Jiangsu and Shandong improving quickly, while Henan, Zhejiang, and Guangdong improved slowly. To boost productivity, it's important to focus on using technology effectively and improving the efficiency of operations in the paper industry.
