Grass Ecosystem Model Predicts Impact of Climate Change on Grass Productivity
The goal of the study was to test a grassland ecosystem model in Inner Mongolia to see how it responds to climate change. Researchers used data from different types of grasslands to calibrate the model. They found that the model accurately predicted how much grass would grow in different areas. The key factors affecting grass growth were temperature and soil quality. The model can help us understand how climate change affects grassland productivity.
