The researchers studied the age and growth of silver carp and bighead carp in Jinshahe reservoir. They found that most fish caught were 3-4 years old. The growth of silver carp was faster than bighead carp in this reservoir. The growth of both types of carp was described using mathematical equations. The researchers suggested ways to improve stocking and fishing of these carp in Jinshahe reservoir.
