New Study Shows Improved Storm Forecasting with Multi-Scheme Ensemble
Researchers tested how well a method called Ensemble Kalman Filter works for predicting storms using radar data. They found that when the model had errors in predicting how ice forms in storms, the method didn't work well. But when they combined different ways of predicting ice formation, the method improved a lot. This means that using a mix of ice prediction methods can help make storm predictions more accurate.
