The study looked at how productive the high-tech industry in China is. They used a method called DEA-Malmquist index to measure this. The results showed that the productivity of the Chinese high-tech industry has gotten better since the 21st century. Different industries within high-tech had varying levels of productivity. The growth in productivity was mainly due to advancements in technology, but there is room to improve how efficiently technology is used.
