New research reveals key factors impacting oxy-fuel combustion boiler design.
The researchers studied how different ways of recirculating flue gas in a coal boiler affect the volume of gas components. They found that the amount of oxygen and nitrogen in the flue gas is mainly influenced by air leakage, while the levels of water vapor and carbon dioxide are mainly affected by the type of flue gas recirculation. These findings are important for designing heat exchangers in oxy-fuel combustion boilers.
