Arsenic-tolerant hybrid rice outperforms conventional varieties in polluted soil.
The study looked at how arsenic in soil affects the growth of different types of rice plants. They tested 20 varieties of rice from three groups: hybrid, conventional, and glutinous. The hybrid rice grew the best, followed by conventional and glutinous rice. One specific hybrid rice variety, EY804, had the highest biomass. The results showed that different rice varieties within the same group also had varying growth levels.
