Climate Change: Laoha River Basin Faces Increasing Precipitation Variability
The study analyzed rainfall patterns in the Laoha River Basin from 1964 to 2005. Results showed that rainfall varied over time and space, with most rain falling in the summer months. Rainfall increased slightly each year, but the number of rainy days decreased. Rainfall decreased from southwest to northeast, with the highest amounts in the northwest and southwest corners. Rainfall also increased with elevation, with every kilometer increase in elevation leading to 116mm more rainfall annually.
