Maize hybrid Luyuandan 22 was created by crossing two parent plants to produce a new variety with high yield, good quality, resistance to multiple threats, and early maturity. This hybrid was developed by the Institute for Application of Atomic Energy at Shandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences and was officially approved for use in major corn-growing regions of China in 2002.
