New Cable-Stayed Bridge in Morocco Revolutionizes Transportation Infrastructure.
A cable-stayed bridge was built over the Bouregreg River in Morocco to connect the Rabat Ring Expressway. The bridge is 951.66 meters long and has a main girder made of concrete and connected metallic cross beams. The bridge deck is 29.82 meters wide, and the pylon has four curved legs. A total of 80 pairs of stay cables support the bridge, made of steel strands arranged in fan cable planes. The main girder was erected using guyed form travelers.
