Three Gorges Reservoir Landslide Stability Threatens Surrounding Communities.
The Chenjiagou landslide in the Three Gorges Reservoir area was studied to understand its structure, causes, and stability. By analyzing rock samples and site data, researchers found that the main landslide is stable in natural conditions, but the sub-landslide can become unstable when saturated or after reservoir impoundment. To prevent further movement, backfill toe weight and drainage systems were recommended. This study provides valuable insights for assessing and treating landslides in similar areas.
