Exogenous Ca(NO3)2 at a concentration of 2.0 mmol·L-1 can help cucumber seedlings grow better under salt stress. It reduces damage to the plant's cell membranes caused by salt stress. This treatment improves the quality of the soil, plant height, leaf areas, and other growth factors compared to seedlings only exposed to salt stress. The MDA content and electrolyte leakage rate are also lower with this treatment.
