Vegetation patterns impact sediment yield in loess hilly gully region
The study looked at how different types of plants on slopes affect runoff and sediment in a loess hilly gully region. The researchers found that the type of vegetation didn't affect runoff much, but band-shaped vegetation increased sediment with more runoff. Silt content varied with different vegetation patterns. Sediment yield was significant on four types of slopes. Runoff and sediment had a strong linear relationship on undisturbed soil plots, with a correlation coefficient above 0.95.
