Optimal NPK Fertilizer Rates Boost Early-season Rice Yields and Profits
The study tested different types of fertilizers on early-season rice in Wuhan. Results showed that using a specific combination of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium fertilizers increased rice yield by 8.0% to 42.6%. The best combination was N2P2K3, which led to a significant increase in rice yield and net income. The recommended rates for nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium to achieve the highest yield were 195kg/hm2, 80kg/hm2, and 220kg/hm2, respectively. For the highest profit, the recommended rates were 153kg/hm2, 61kg/hm2, and 55kg/hm2, respectively.
