New Potato Variety Boosts Economic Yield with Early Growth Peak!
Feiwuruita, a type of potato, was studied to see how it absorbs and uses nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium nutrients. The roots, stems, and leaves absorbed nutrients fastest when the plant was young, while the tubers absorbed nutrients most quickly between the bud and wilt stages. Feiwuruita grows quickly, leading to early tuber formation and starch accumulation, resulting in higher economic yield. The plant absorbed nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium in a ratio of 1:0.133:1.666, with specific amounts needed to form 500 kg of tubers.
