The researchers investigated the safety of drinking water sources in Yuyao by looking at reservoirs, rivers, and underground water. They developed indicator systems to evaluate the quantity and quality of the water sources. The water quantity evaluation considered factors like low-flow years and engineering capacity, while the water quality evaluation looked at general pollutants, toxic pollutants, and eutrophication. Field data showed that the drinking water sources are safe and well-protected.
