New extraction method boosts flavonoid yield from Mulgedium tataricum by 14%!
The researchers used a method called response surface analysis to find the best way to extract total flavonoids from Mulgedium tataricum. They tested different factors like ethanol concentration, solvent-solid ratio, extraction temperature, and time. The best conditions they found were 63.78% ethanol, a 40:1 ratio of solvent to solid, 90 degrees Celsius temperature, and 1.07 hours of extraction time. This combination resulted in an extraction rate of 13.79%, close to the predicted value of 14.04%. This study shows that using this method can help optimize the extraction of flavonoids from Mulgedium tataricum.
