New method revolutionizes identification of volcanic rock reservoirs in field practice.
This paper studied how to identify volcanic rock reservoirs by analyzing their response characteristics. The researchers used conventional and imaging logging methods to recognize the lithology of a specific well. They defined the igneous lithofacies of the well and researched how different parts of the lithology affect physical properties. The method was successfully applied in the research of igneous reservoirs and can be used as a reference for similar types of reservoirs.
