Wall temperature impacts indoor comfort, study finds, changing living conditions.
A study was done in Xi'an to see how comfortable people felt in their homes during spring. They measured the indoor environment and asked people how they felt for 22 days. Most people found the temperature comfortable, but some thought it was too hot. When the air was still, the temperature of the walls affected how comfortable people felt. As the walls got warmer, people felt more comfortable. The temperature that most people felt neutral at was around 20.76℃, which was a bit lower than the predicted value of 22.18℃.
