Paddy soils' Cd and Pb adsorption rates impact heavy metal migration
The study looked at how certain metals stick to and come off of different types of paddy soils. They found that Cd and Pb were more likely to stick to purple soil than red soil. The amount of clay, organic matter, and CEC in the soil affected how much metal could stick to it. The more Cd or Pb in the soil, the more it could stick to the soil. The researchers used different models to predict how much metal could stick to the soil, and they found that Cd and Pb behaved differently in the soils.
